 The end of the year is approaching very fast.  The Old Courthouse Museum has had many great events and activities this year.  Thanks to everyone for your support.  Look for our 2012 Calendar of events to be posted after the first of the year.

On December 1 the final event of the year will open.  Christmas Tree Lane and the Gingerbread House Gallery.  The theme for this year's Christmas Tree Lane is "Other Countries-Our Ancestors"  The Trees will be judged in four categories:  Best use of theme, Most original, Best decorated, and Best handcrafted.  Visitors are also encouraged to grab a ballet and vote for their favorite tree.  The Gingerbread House entries will also be judged in two categories:  Best decorated, and Most Original.

Mark your calendars for December 3.  You won't want to miss the annual "Sounds of the Season" concert.  This will be held in the Old Courtroom at 2pm.  Performances will include students of local music teachers along with anyone from the general publuc that would like to participate.

Following the performances, everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments in the Victorian Parlor and to browse Christmas Tree Lane and the Gingerbread House Gallery.

The staff and board members of the Iroquois County Historical Society-Old Courthouse Museum would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
